Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by offering personalized care and companionship. This position requires a strong commitment to helping others, as well as the ability to work with diverse populations including seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents' well-being.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor vital signs when necessary.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and memory care needs.
- Maintain cleanliness in living areas and assist with light housekeeping duties.
- Document care provided using EMR systems and report any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate staff.
- Utilize assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts when necessary to ensure safe transfers.
- Engage residents in social activities and promote their independence while ensuring safety.

Skills
- Proficiency in first aid and CPR techniques.
- Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings.
- Familiarity with caregiving practices for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and social work principles is a plus.
- Ability to prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and team members.
- Experience working in group homes or personal care homes is desirable.
