Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistants to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to our family member Jennifer, ensuring her comfort and well-being while assisting with daily activities. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality care, for our loved one. Jennifer is 48 years old and requires 24-hour care. She utilizes the FI waiver program to receive this care in her home instead of a facility. Stuart Wilson of Midland handles the payroll for this, and we are paid twice monthly, on the 1st and 15th of every month. The Nursing Assistant will work closely with Jennifers family, and other caregivers to make sure Jennifer has the best quality of life living at home. Applicant will have to pass a background check; this is required by the government.
Responsibilities
- Will need to perform Jennifer's daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, incontinence care, all ADLs.
- Will transfer Jennifer from bed to chair utilizing the Hoyer lift that is provided.
- Support Jennifer's wellbeing by offering personalized assistance and encouragement.
- Launder patient clothing and bedding as needed to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
- Household cleaning mopping floors, cleaning bathroom, dusting, etc.
- Take care of client's cat, empty litter box, feed cat.
- Document medical information accurately, including vital signs and changes in patient conditions.
- Communicate effectively with family members regarding patient needs and any observed changes in health status.
- Administer CPR and first aid as necessary in emergency situations.
- Maintain a safe environment by following health and safety protocols.
- Do light housekeeping duties, as well as look after Jennifers cat Brittnay.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home health or long-term care setting is required.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or similar qualification is required.
- Ability to perform basic medical documentation accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with Jennifer and her mom who lives in the home.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Good Attendance is required.
Join our team of dedicated family caregivers, and certified aides and make a difference in Jennifer's life. Jen was a very social and vibrant person until MS took those from her. We are looking to add to our team, so that the family caregivers can have days off. This is a weekend only position. hours are 4:00pm-12a.m.
