Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join a local mechanical/industrial engineering business located in St. Louis County.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical sales, with the ability to understand and communicate complex solutions to clients. This role involves engaging with potential customers, providing product demonstrations, and driving sales growth through effective relationship management.
Duties
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking and lead generation.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of our offerings.
- Prepare detailed proposals with pricing, full scope of work, and contract terms
- Negotiate sales contracts and pricing to secure sales
- Use problem solving skills to assess client situations and needs so you can provide effective mechanical/industrial solutions.
- 90% travel/ 10% office work
- Work in company ERP system for record of sales information
- Collaborate with the technical team to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Manage the entire sales process from initial contact to closing deals.
- Provide pre-sales support by analyzing customer needs and presenting tailored solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
Skills
- Proficiency in computer networking concepts and technologies.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing customer needs and market trends.
- Ability to conduct effective product demos that highlight technical capabilities.
- Previous experience in technical sales or pre-sales roles is highly desirable.

Sales Representative Requirements:
- Engineering or Business Degree (preferred)
- 3-5 years’ experience in Mechanical/Industrial industry
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities
- Thoroughness and reliability
- Excellent organizational skills
- Mechanical/technical Industrial construction knowledge
- Excel/Word/Outlook knowledge
- Will Report directly to the General Manager
