Mechanical/HVAC/Refrigeration Engineer
P2 Mission Solutions has an immediate need for a degreed Mechanical/HVAC/Refrigeration Engineer who will be responsible laying the foundation to manufacture military Environmental Control Units. This equipment includes integrated Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Heating systems packaged for expeditionary use by the US military in challenging environments.
Minimum Required skills include:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related HVAC discipline
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Ability to self-motivate to achieve product design and schedule goals.
- Ability to read complex military technical data packages and performance specifications and convert them into a manufacturing plan for build-to-print production.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to develop test and verification plans to ensure products meet customer requirements.
- Flexibility to go beyond your normal expertise to solve problems that cross over into other engineering disciplines.
This will be a very hands-on technical position. The engineer will lead and participate in all aspects of the physical development of the products including first article prototyping, testing, and setting up work centers for production. While the immediate need is to provide expertise to allow us to transition into production for existing military equipment designs, future plans to design and build our own novel HVAC systems provide room for professional growth.
CAD design experience is helpful, but not a strict requirement.
This engineer will join a team of Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, and Aerospace engineers in a small but growing company where total project ownership is typical. Our working atmosphere is highly collaborative and fosters creativity and flexibility. These new ECU products will be the first of a new line of products that we are creating to expand our business.
