Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Tester to join a local business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating SAP applications and integrations, ensuring the highest quality standards through comprehensive testing processes. The SAP Tester will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performing enterprise solutions that meet business requirements and user expectations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases for SAP modules and related applications, including mobile testing on Android and iOS platforms.
• Perform functional, system, regression, performance, load, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate software quality.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and scripting languages like Python or Java.
• Conduct API testing for RESTful and SOAP web services utilizing tools like Postman or REST clients; validate data integrity with SQL/PLSQL queries on MySQL, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Integrate testing processes within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar tools to support DevOps practices.
• Troubleshoot software issues by performing root cause analysis and debugging using tools like Visual Studio or Eclipse.
• Collaborate with developers and business analysts during requirements gathering to ensure test cases align with business needs.
• Document defects clearly in issue tracking systems such as Jira or HP ALM; track testing progress and report status to stakeholders.
• Support release management activities by verifying deployment packages and conducting post-release validation.
• Participate in system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and provide technical support during production releases.

Requirements

• Proven experience in software testing with a focus on SAP applications; familiarity with SAP modules is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes including test planning, test case creation, test automation, and defect management.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Cucumber, JUnit, or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency in programming languages including Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript for scripting automated tests.
• Experience with API testing using RESTful APIs and web services (SOAP).
• Solid understanding of databases such as MySQL, Oracle (DB2), Microsoft SQL Server; ability to write complex SQL queries for data validation.
• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies like Agile (Scrum), Waterfall; experience working within DevOps environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as LoadRunner or JMeter is advantageous.
• Ability to perform cross-platform mobile testing on Android and iOS devices; understanding of mobile application architecture is beneficial.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform data analysis for troubleshooting issues effectively.
• Experience working with version control systems like GitHub, GitLab, SVN; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
