Duties
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance inventory using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
- Monitor stock levels regularly, anticipate needs through demand planning, and initiate procurement processes to prevent shortages.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to manage supply chain logistics, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.
- Conduct regular warehouse management activities including shipping & receiving, inventory control, and storage organization to optimize space and accessibility.
- Support automotive diagnostics, automotive service, auto body repair, and equipment repair operations by providing necessary parts promptly.
- Utilize forklift certification skills for safe handling of heavy inventory items within warehouse environments.
- Assist with sourcing OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts and managing order management systems to streamline procurement workflows.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to HVAC, automotive repair, and warehouse operations while maintaining meticulous data entry records.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding efficiently to internal requests for parts or supplies needed for dealership or manufacturing tasks.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and procurement management practices.
- Experience with supplier management, negotiation tactics, and sourcing strategies to optimize costs.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems such as ERP systems, CMMS software, and AS400 platforms.
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive diagnostics, automotive repair, equipment repair, HVAC systems, and auto body repair.
- Warehouse experience including shipping & receiving procedures, inventory control techniques, and warehouse management best practices.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely with valid certification; familiarity with order management systems is a plus.
- Excellent data entry skills combined with attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping.
- Customer service orientation with strong communication skills for collaborating across departments or with suppliers.
- Knowledge of dealership experience or OEM parts sourcing is advantageous for understanding industry-specific needs.
- Familiarity with logistics processes including demand planning, pricing strategies, procurement sourcing, and shipping & receiving operations.
