What are the responsibilities and job description for the Herd Management Specialist position at STL Office Solutions?
The Herd Management Specialist, reporting to the Wisconsin General Manager, is responsible for managing, developing and growing Herd Management products and services in Wisconsin. A key aspect of the position will deal with HM software support and helping customers achieve their facility goals, as well as assist in moving forward aftermarket products.
REQUIRED SKILLS / COMPETENCIES
- A successful candidate will have the ability to serve as a dairy consultant – understanding the issues on the farm and providing appropriate solutions based on DeLaval’s product lines
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence others
- Competitive and outgoing, sales and technically oriented
- Works well individually as well as in a team
- Ability to travel within Wisconsin as needed
EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND
- Minimum high school degree. B.A./B.S. in Animal Science, Sales or other relevant degree preferred (Software system trouble shooting or analysis)
- 3-5 years of experience in a closely related product area preferred
