About the Role
Stillpoint Talent Group is partnering with a highly respected MEP consulting engineering firm to identify an Electrical Design Engineer for its Pittsburgh office. The Electrical Design Engineer will support the design and coordination of power, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for K-12, higher education, healthcare, senior living, commercial, government, hospitality, and recreation facilities. This role is ideal for someone with current experience in electrical design within an MEP or AEC consulting environment who enjoys working in a collaborative, technically focused setting with strong project exposure and mentorship opportunities.

Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
- Prepare engineering calculations including load analysis, fault current analysis, and system coordination
- Develop construction documents including plans, specifications, and technical reports
- Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, architectural, and structural teams for integrated project delivery
- Support projects from schematic design through construction administration
- Perform Revit modeling and assist with BIM coordination efforts
- Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and assist with field coordination activities
- Ensure compliance with NEC, energy codes, and applicable regulations
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams
- Contribute to efficient, sustainable, and constructible electrical system solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required
- Current experience in electrical design within an MEP or AEC consulting environment
- EIT preferred but not required
- Experience designing electrical systems for healthcare, education, commercial, institutional, senior living, or government facilities preferred
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical design software
- Strong understanding of NEC and applicable building codes
- Familiarity with BIM coordination workflows preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
