The MEP Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design and coordination of electrical systems for commercial, healthcare, and institutional facilities. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong experience in electrical engineering within an MEP consulting environment who enjoys working on complex building systems and collaborating across disciplines.

Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
- Perform engineering calculations including load analysis, short circuit, and coordination studies
- Develop construction documents including plans, specifications, and technical reports
- Coordinate closely with mechanical, plumbing, and other disciplines to deliver integrated building system designs
- Support projects from schematic design through construction administration
- Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and participate in site visits
- Ensure compliance with NEC, energy codes, and applicable standards
- Interface with clients, architects, and project teams throughout the design process
- Contribute to efficient, reliable, and sustainable electrical system design solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Strong experience in electrical engineering within an MEP consulting firm
- EIT or PE required
- Experience designing building electrical systems for commercial, healthcare, or institutional projects preferred
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical design and analysis tools
- Strong understanding of NEC and applicable codes and standards
- Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
