Position Summary
The Demand Planner owns the development and continuous improvement of a 12–18-month rolling, SKU-level forecast across Core, NPD, and promotional items. This role supports demand planning across key global markets including the US, Canada, UK, Australia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Southeast Asia, and South Africa. The role synthesizes sales inputs, historical trends, and real-time analytics to drive demand planning, inventory accuracy, and cross-functional alignment. Success in this position requires deep analytical ability, strong business acumen, and the initiative to challenge assumptions and optimize planning processes on global scale.
Core Responsibilities
- Maintain rolling 12–18 month forecasts at SKU and channel level, updated monthly.
- Consolidate data inputs from Sales, Marketing, POS, and Finance for alignment.
- Analyze demand trends, identify forecast risks, and simulate impact scenarios during S&OP.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate promotional/NPD plans into actionable forecasts.
- Incorporate TikTok shop demand signals and viral trend data into forecasting models to anticipate rapid demand shifts and prevent stock-outs on high velocity SKUs
- Track forecast performance metrics: accuracy, bias, and forecast value-add.
- Use data mining techniques to uncover demand signals, seasonality, and service gaps.
- Integrate insights from NetStock or other ERP/planning tools to enhance forecast reliability.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports via Power BI/Tableau to visualize trends and forecast performance.
- Improve data infrastructure and create a standardized demand planning framework, including a forecast data dictionary and metric definitions.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, inventory analysis, or supply chain forecasting (beauty or consumer goods preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance or a related field required
- Familiarity with TikTok Shop and social commerce trends, with the ability to translate viral product moments into actionable forecast adjustments.
- Ability to present forecast insights and recommendations clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Proficient in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau).
- Experience with ERP planning systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics GP, NetStock).
- Strong understanding of statistical forecasting methods and S&OP process.
- Analytical mindset with ability to synthesize large datasets into actionable insights.
- Capability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills and stakeholder alignment.
