About the Role

We’re looking for a DTC Demand Planner will guide Bogg Bag’s demand forecasting efforts for our direct-to-consumer channels. This role focuses on understanding and interpreting product and market trends, identifying anomalies or outliers, and guiding the Planning team toward the most impactful focus areas. The DTC Demand Planner connects the dots between new product launches, core portfolio performance, and external market factors, translating complex data into clear insights that drive strategic decisions on volume, product mix, and future growth opportunities. This position will report to our Director of Planning, Carey McDonald with strong connectivity to our Ecommerce team.


Responsibilities

  • Own DTC Demand Plan: Build, develop, and maintain accurate long-range DTC demand forecasts by SKU by analyzing sales trends, seasonality, promotions, and market intelligence.
  • Strategic Analysis & Insights: Conduct detailed analyses to support strategic initiatives and regularly review business performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement. Identify growth drivers and risk areas and communicate findings clearly and persuasively, influencing stakeholders across levels and functions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate effectively to align forecast drivers, validate assumptions, and ensure a unified view of demand across horizons and influence cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring collaboration with Allocation, Finance, Marketing, and Operations teams to meet collective goals.
  • Product Lifecycle Forecasting: Maintain SKU-level forecast data and support new product introductions and phase-outs.
  • Business Performance Dashboards: Create and maintain dashboards that visualize product trends, forecast vs. actual performance, and key business drivers.
  • DTC Demand Plan Optimization: Assess forecast accuracy and bias (MAPE, error rate), and recommend model or process improvements.
  • Forecasting Subject Matter Expert: Serve as a subject matter expert in long-range forecasting methodologies and planning best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Exhibit initiative to look beyond the everyday business to identify opportunities to maximize sales potential.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Finance, Business, Accounting or similar field or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in merchandise planning, inventory management, analytics, planning, business management, omni-channel merchandising, or related area.


Required Skills

  • Very strong analytically with strong communications and presentation skills; ability to present complex information to various audiences.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, time management, and influencing cross-functionally.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to partner and challenge simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Excellent data analytics capabilities.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit - excited by the challenges that come along with building brands.


Pay range and compensation package

$80-$120k, commensurate on experience
