Job Description
The i-SMART Laboratory at Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the field of remote sensing, with a particular emphasis on radar image analysis. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing innovative research initiatives related to environmental monitoring, hydrology, and data-driven modeling using cutting-edge remote sensing technologies.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced research in radar image processing and remote sensing applications for environmental and hydrological studies.
- Develop and implement machine learning and AI-based algorithms for large-scale satellite and radar data analysis.
- Process, visualize, and interpret complex environmental datasets from various remote sensing platforms.
- Collaborate with faculty, graduate students, and research partners across multiple disciplines.
- Prepare research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at academic conferences.
- Contribute to proposal writing and the development of new research directions within the i-SMART Laboratory.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. (for Postdoctoral applicants) inRemote Sensing, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in radar image processing and remote sensing data analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated record of academic publications in relevant fields.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) data and time-series analysis.
- Familiarity with hydrological modeling or environmental monitoring applications.
- Prior experience working in interdisciplinary research environments.
