Job Description The i-SMART Laboratory at Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the field of remote sensing, with a particular emphasis on radar image analysis. Key Responsibilities Conduct advanced research in radar image processing and remote sensing applications for environmental and hydrological studies. Develop and implement machine learning and AI-based algorithms for large-scale satellite and radar data analysis. Process, visualize, and interpret complex environmental datasets from various remote sensing platforms. Collaborate with faculty, graduate students, and research partners across multiple disciplines. Prepare research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at academic conferences. Contribute to proposal writing and the development of new research directions within the i-SMART Laboratory. Required Qualifications Ph.D. (for Postdoctoral applicants) inRemote Sensing, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in radar image processing and remote sensing data analysis. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Demonstrated record of academic publications in relevant fields. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) data and time-series analysis. Familiarity with hydrological modeling or environmental monitoring applications. Prior experience working in interdisciplinary research environments. Department Civil Environmental & Ocean Engineering Compensation Range In compliance with the New Jersey Wage Transparency Act, the hourly base range for this position is $65,000- $67,500 . This range represents the University’s good faith estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Stevens Institute of Technology determines compensation based on factors including the position’s scope and responsibilities, the candidate’s experience, education, skills, internal equity, market data, and organizational considerations. The final salary will be set considering departmental budget, qualifications, and relevant credentials. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes additional forms of compensation, such as incentives, stipends, or other applicable pay components.
