Two postdoctoral positions in systems neuroscience are available in the laboratory of Dr. Denis Pare, located in the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience of Rutgers University-Newark.
Dr. Pare's work focuses on understanding the relation between the insular cortex and associated structures during motivated behaviors. The successful candidates will be responsible for experiments involving patch clamp recordings in brain slices or multi-site unit and local field potential recordings in behaving rats.
Applicants should hold a PhD in Neuroscience or a related area. Proficiency with coding and experience with optogenetics is required.
