Reporting to the President, the VP, Business Partner Finance, AI Infrastructure is a senior executive position that strategically links an organization's finance function with its technology and operations teams specifically focused on the capital-intensive world of Artificial Intelligence infrastructure. This individual acts as a key liaison, ensuring that financial planning, analysis, and execution align with the technical requirements and rapid scaling of AI initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Overseeing the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for AI infrastructure investments, which often involve large capital expenditures (CapEx) for data centers, GPUs, accelerators, and networking.
- Business Partnership & Alignment: Serving as a strategic advisor to engineering, product, and executive leadership to align technology roadmaps and operational decisions with financial goals and business strategy.
- Cost Management & Operational Efficiency: Driving operational efficiency and cost management across the organization's AI infrastructure, monitoring cost performance, and identifying opportunities for optimization in cloud usage, hardware procurement, and energy consumption.
- Investment & Capital Management: Partnering with internal finance and capital teams to manage investment lifecycles, payment schedules, and risk contingencies for large-scale projects, potentially including M&A and investor relations.
- Monetization & Pricing Strategy: Collaborating on innovative pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies for AI products and solutions, translating technical capabilities into profitable business models.
- Stakeholder Communication: Delivering executive-level financial updates, risk assessments, and performance dashboards to senior leadership and external partners or investors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Economics, or a related field is typically required, with a Master's degree (MBA) often preferred.
Required Skills
- Experience: A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in finance, with significant experience in technology, mission-critical infrastructure, hyperscale data centers, or AI/cloud platforms.
- Skills: Strong business acumen, exceptional analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, and the ability to communicate complex finance and technology concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.
- Domain Expertise: Fluency in AI/ML concepts, GPU technologies, data centers, networking, and the unique financial models of "AI Hyperscalers".
