Senior Corporate Accountant
Overview
Our client, a publicly traded Biotech research firm is looking to hire a Senior Corporate Accountant to the team. This is a great opportunity to learn from a strong leadership team and be part of high growth within in the organization.
Responsibilities
- month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Manage balance sheet accounts including accruals, prepaid expenses and fixed assets
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for the above referenced areas
- Ensure that all accounting documents conform to company standards regarding required authorizations, accuracy and completeness of supporting documentation
- Document procedures in line with internal control requirements, policies, and accounting procedures
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
- Back-up for accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, billing and administration for Accounting Specialist
- Ad-hoc projects as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required)
- CPA preferred or in progress
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience coming out of public accounting or industry.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Strong ERP experience (NetSuite, Workday, Dynamics)
- High level of ownership and accountability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Salary : $95,000 - $110,000
