What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Corporate Accountant position at Addison Group?
Addison Group has partnered with a publicly traded manufacturer on the search for a Senior Corporate Accountant. The Senior Corporate Accountant will be instrumental in the monthly, quarterly and annual close as well as providing necessary accounting information for quarterly reporting. The Senior Corporate Accountant will also get to participate in various special projects and process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, etc. to ensure a smooth and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial close
- Provide accounting support to the financial reporting team for quarterly and annual financial reporting deliverables to the SEC
- Accurately account for various expenses such as accounts payable, expense reports, leases, fixed assets and ensure accurate cost allocations
- Keep a continuous improvement mindset to look for opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes
- Provide necessary support and documentation to auditors
- Manage special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned
Qualifications:
- Completed undergraduate degree in accounting or related areas
- 3 or more years of related accounting experience in public and/or corporate accounting
- Certified Public Accountant license is preferred, but not required
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Ability to travel to manufacturing plants as needed
Compensation, benefits and perks:
- Salary: $80,000-100,000/year
