Staff Accountant
Reports to: VP of Finance

The Opportunity
You’ll manage day-to-day accounting operations, support month-end close, and work directly with the VP of Finance on improving systems and processes. With a tight-knit team and a high-dollar, low-transaction business model, this role offers broad exposure and the chance to grow as the company builds scalable infrastructure for future expansion.
What You’ll Do
Keep the Books Accurate & Up to Date
• Perform daily accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and transaction posting
• Assist with month-end close and preparation of financial statements
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure GAAP compliance
• Support schedules and documentation for filings and external audits
Manage Core Financial Operations
• Manage employee reimbursements (Emburse)
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and assist with capital project tracking
• Support cash flow monitoring and banking activity
Improve Systems & Processes
• Maintain and optimize QuickBooks for efficient, accurate reporting
• Support process documentation, standardization, and workflow improvements
• Contribute to building scalable infrastructure as the company grows
Ideal Background
• 2 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a growing or asset-intensive environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual accounting
• Experience with QuickBooks, Paycom, and Emburse (or similar tools)
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Team-oriented, proactive, and comfortable in a small, hands-on office environment
