StevenDouglas has been exclusively engaged on a fantastic Senior Accountant career opportunity in Austin, Texas.
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this role will have ownership of monthly and quarterly close activities, such as preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and supporting analytical reviews in accordance with US GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with global accounting standards, including US GAAP, local GAAP, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Support external and internal audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and regulatory filings.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the other teams to ensure appropriate accounting.
- Lead or support process improvement initiatives to streamline month-end and quarter-end close activities, improve internal controls, and enhance end-to-end operational effectiveness.
- Provide ad-hoc support to the broader Finance team, including special projects, system implementations, and business case development as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
- Public accounting or industry experience in manufacturing preferred.
- 4 years of relevant accounting experience with a solid foundation in US GAAP.
- Demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting and accounting operations.
- Understanding of procure to pay process (P2P)
