We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting and Finance professional to join a dynamic team and play a critical role in supporting firm-wide financial operations and strategic growth. This role takes ownership of financial operations across multiple affiliated entities and offers opportunities for long-term growth. This role is expected to balance complex reporting and analysis with hands-on support of day-to-day processes to ensure continuity when coverage is needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare and oversee the production of accurate financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annually)
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industry standards for private credit and private equity
- Manage financial consolidations and intercompany reporting for multiple entities
- Budgeting, Forecasting, & Financial Modeling:
- Develop and manage annual budgets, long-term forecasts, and scenario planning models
- Build advanced financial models for fund performance, cash flow projections, and valuation analysis
- Provide actionable insights and financial recommendations to senior leadership
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
- Manage cash flow to ensure operational liquidity
- Optimize working capital and lead treasury functions, including banking relationships
- Internal Controls & Audit:
- Implement robust internal control frameworks to safeguard company assets
- Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory filings specific to private equity and private credit sectors
- Technology & System Optimization:
- Implement financial technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency
- Leverage advanced Excel skills for consolidations, automation, and complex financial modeling
- Manage QuickBooks and Gusto Payroll to streamline financial operations
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
- Align team goals with organizational objectives and firm priorities
Qualifications
- Education & Certifications: CPA/ CPA candidate qualification is required
- Experience: Minimum of 7-8 years experience in progressively responsible accounting or financial management roles, preferably within private credit or private equity industries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities tailored to specialty finance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
