A dynamic, newly independent $1B manufacturing company is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join its growing finance team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the foundational financial operations of a high-growth organization.
Position Summary:
The Corporate Accountant will report to the Controller and play an integral role in managing key aspects of financial reporting, consolidation, technical accounting, and internal controls. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional with strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting to the parent organization.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes, including consolidations and intercompany eliminations.
- Collaborate with business units to maintain alignment on accounting policies and reporting standards.
Technical Accounting & Compliance
- Conduct research on complex accounting issues and provide analysis to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Support the adoption and implementation of new accounting standards.
- Draft technical accounting memos and white papers as needed.
Audit & Internal Controls
- Serve as a liaison for external audits, ensuring successful and timely audit completion.
- Strengthen internal financial controls and promote best practices across accounting functions.
- Partner with stakeholders to support governance and risk management initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (CPA highly preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience; public accounting or large corporate background preferred (Big 4 experience is a plus).
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial consolidation processes, and technical accounting.
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems (experience with OneStream is advantageous).
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across departments.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
