A highly regarded national law firm with a strong corporate platform is seeking a mid- to senior-level Mergers & Acquisitions Associate to join its New York City office.

Job Responsibilities:
- Representing private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and other strategic buyers and sellers in mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and growth equity investments
- Leading drafting and negotiation of key transaction documents, including purchase agreements, operating agreements, and other deal-related contracts
- Advising clients on general corporate and commercial matters, including governance and shareholder arrangements
- Managing multiple complex transactions simultaneously in coordination with colleagues across practice areas
- Participating in client development and relationship-building initiatives with the support of senior attorneys and firm resources
Requirements:
- JD from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
- Minimum of 5 years of M&A or private equity experience at a law firm
- Admission to the New York Bar (or eligibility to waive in)
- Demonstrated ability to manage all phases of a transaction, from term sheet through closing
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Business-oriented mindset and team-focused approach
