Interim Project Manager

Our client, a fast-growing, private equity-backed healthcare services company headquartered in the Tampa Bay area, is seeking a seasoned Interim Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives during a period of significant organizational growth and change. This role is ideal for a strategic, business-facing project manager who has "been there, done that" and can step in, quickly build credibility with executive stakeholders, and manage a diverse portfolio of initiatives without heavy day-to-day oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of approximately 7-10 concurrent projects spanning operations, marketing, and internal culture/engagement initiatives
• Deliver concise, high-level project updates to the C-suite in structured weekly reviews
• Proactively identify cross-functional dependencies and ensure the right stakeholders are looped in before issues arise
• Lead change management efforts for initiatives that impact multiple departments or business units
• Balance strategic oversight with hands-on attention to detail as needed
• Adapt communication style to a range of audiences, from frontline operators to executive leadership

Qualifications

Required:

• Significant experience as a Project Manager in a business/operations-facing capacity (not a technical/IT-focused role)
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Strong executive presence and communication skills; comfortable leading discussions with senior leadership
• Experience driving change management and cross-functional alignment

Preferred (not required):

• Experience in healthcare, hospital systems, or other multi-site/multi-unit operational environments
• Experience supporting organizations through periods of rapid growth, acquisition, or restructuring

Not required:

• PMP or other formal certifications
• Deep technical/IT project management background (this is a functional/operational PM role, not a systems implementation role)
