What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interim Controller position at StevenDouglas?
StevenDouglas is partnering with a client that is in search of an Interim Controller to support the day-to-day accounting and Controllership responsibilities through a new system implementation. This position is expected to be 2-3 months in duration with potential of extension and this individual would need to be on-site 100%.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations in a lean environment, including invoicing
- Assist with reconciliations of accounts
- Perform and oversee job costing
- Prepare management reporting and financial analytics, including cash flow
- Review payroll
- Manage the general ledger activities and perform month-end close
- Partner with operations to understand job-level profitability
Requirements:
- Strong exposure with Sage 100
- Bachelor degree
- Prior experience at an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or Controller level
- Ability to be hands-on, execution focused
- Experience in Job costing/project-based or service environments
- Ability to operate independently with minimal ramp up time
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a small, close knit team
