What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist and Scheduler position at Steve Ray Plumbing Service Inc.?
We are looking for a Receptionist/Scheduler for our Plumbing shop located on the north end of Springfield. The qualified candidate's main duty will be answering incoming service calls, emails, and text messages and setting up customer appointments accordingly. Other duties that may be involved are managing company files and invoices, occasional collection calls, and performing other general office tasks.
The candidate must also have the ability to write clearly and be proficient with word processing and spreadsheet applications, as well as having good communication skills with a pleasing personality. The job will start out at $19.00 per/hour depending on experience. Candidates with prior plumbing and HVAC industry experience will be first choice and considered at a higher pay rate. Office hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m or 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Job Responsibilities:
- Handling incoming calls and other communications, as well as placing calls to customers.
- Managing filing system.
- Recording information as needed.
- Updating paperwork, maintaining documents, and word processing.
- Helping organize and maintain office common areas.
- Performing general office duties.
- Booking customer service appointments and organizing daily schedules for service staff.
- Creating, maintaining, and entering information into databases.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- Experience as a receptionist, scheduler, or customer service representative.
- Ability to write clearly and help with word processing when necessary.
- Warm personality with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work well under limited supervision.
- Great organization skills.
- Having experience or knowing terminology in the Plumbing and HVAC industry is plus.
