POSITION: SOCIAL WELFARE EXAMINER (HELP PROGRAM)
LOCATION: STEUBEN COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES
SALARY: $38,595 Annually NYS Retirement and an excellent benefits package
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma and either: a) Graduation from a regionally-accredited or New York State-registered college or university with an Associates Degree; or b) Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in examining, investigating and evaluating claims for assistance, veterans or unemployment benefits, insurance or a similar program operating under established criteria for eligibility; or c) Any equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (a) and (b) above.
NOTE: Only members of this bargaining unit have preference for these positions.
