Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – PRN

$30–$35/hour | PRN

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a PRN opportunity at Safire Rehab of Southtowns. This position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work with a supportive rehabilitation team while helping residents improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.

What You'll Do

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Assist residents with strengthening, balance, gait training, transfers, endurance, and mobility
• Carry out individualized treatment plans established by the supervising PT
• Monitor resident progress and communicate changes to the therapy team
• Educate residents and caregivers on exercises and safe mobility techniques
• Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation
• Collaborate with rehabilitation staff and the interdisciplinary care team

Qualifications

• Active New York Physical Therapist Assistant license required
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required
• New graduate PTAs are welcome to apply
