Seeking a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)- Pediatric to support our outpatient dental clinic during a leave of absence. This role is ideal for an experienced RDA who enjoys working with children and providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Title: Registered Dental Assistant (Pediatric) – Temporary
Location: San Ysidro, CA 92173
Job Type: (3 months- with potential of extension)
Start Date: January 12, 2026
End Date: April 12, 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during pediatric dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Perform full-scope dental assisting duties, including oral radiographic services
- Ensure patient comfort and safety, especially for pediatric patients
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Dentrix (required); EPIC experience preferred
- Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines
- Communicate effectively with patients, parents, and clinical staff
Required Qualifications
Education
- Post–high school vocational or specialized dental assisting training
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant
- Required experience with Dentrix workflow
- Pediatric dental experience required
Licenses & Certifications
- Current California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) License
- Radiation Safety Certificate
- Coronal Polish Certificate
- CPR/BLS Certification
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-based clinical setting
