About the Facility
Join the MS/Tele/PCU Float Pool at a respected acute care facility in Prescott, AZ. You will float between MedSurg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care Units across both East and West campuses, including inpatient holds in the Emergency Department.
Job Title: Travel RN – MS/Tele/PCU Float Pool (Nights)
Location: Prescott, AZ
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 11/04/2025
Shift: 12-Hour Nights, Every Other Weekend, First to Float
Job Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS (Required)
- License: Active RN license (AZ or compact)
- Must pass a dysrhythmia exam
- Must be comfortable titrating drips and managing common critical care infusions (e.g., Heparin, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, etc.)
- Must be able to interpret cardiac strips
Patient & Unit Info
- Nurse:Patient Ratio:
- PCU: 1:4
- MedSurg Tele: 1:5–6
- Common Diagnoses: Geriatrics, post-MI, post-cardiac cath, ortho, CABG (day 3-4)
- Equipment: CPAP, BiPAP, Heated High Flow
- Support Staff: Nurse aides on all units
- Charting System: Cerner
- Charge Nurses: Present on each unit and do not take assignments
- Float Distance: ~20–25 minutes between campuses
Scheduling
- Shift Time: 7 PM – 7 AM
- Self-Scheduling: No (Float pool scheduler assigns shifts)
- Schedule Released: 6 weeks out, covering 4 weeks
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Included in rotation
Exclusions / Restrictions
- Radius Rule: Must live 50 miles away from the facility
