Surgical X-ray Technologist (Full-Time and PRN)

Sterling Surgical Hospital is seeking a skilled X-ray Technician with OR experience to join our team. (PRN)

Essential Functions:

• Performs diagnostic imaging in the operating room using a C-Arm
• Proficient in operating X-ray and other medical imaging equipment
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety
• Position patients correctly to obtain accurate images
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety protocols
• Collaborate with physicians to determine the appropriate imaging techniques for each patient
• Evaluate images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary
• Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
• Follow aseptic techniques to prevent contamination and infection
• Use medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to accurately communicate findings with physicians
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals

Education:

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology

Licensure /Certification:

• LSRTBE
• ARRT (R)
• BLS

Work Experience:

• 3 years of work experience in Operating Room Imaging
