Technical Estimator - Food & Biotech Process Systems

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 2–3 years of relevant experience is required
• A background working with process systems in the pharmaceutical, biotech, food, or beverage industries is also required
• Pay is $50,000 to $70,000 annually, based on experience
• Enjoy early weekends: Able to leave at 2:30 p.m. on Fridays!

This full-time, permanent Technical Estimator - Food & Biotech Process Systems opening is at an established, medium-sized custom systems manufacturer specializing in modular process systems for the demanding pharmaceutical, biotech, food, and beverage industries. The company is highly valued by its customers for providing turnkey solutions, from the conceptual phase through commissioning and start-up. This position is available due to continued demand for their specialized products. You will join a smaller, collaborative team where you are a key part of the sales and project lifecycle. • Generate timely and accurate cost estimates (material, labor, and external contracting) for complex sales proposals and change orders
• Coordinate material pricing with the Purchasing Department and maintain a central database of standard and frequently used materials/equipment pricing
• Review customer specifications, noting any deviations in the scope of supply to ensure clear and accurate proposal generation
• Work closely with the Sales and Production Engineering teams to coordinate all estimate components and assist in the generation of necessary sales engineering drawings
• Support the Sales function in providing turnkey solutions by pricing all aspects of the project, including internal costs and outside contracting services

The background of the successful candidate must include the following:

• 2–3 years of experience in estimating, technical sales support, or a related role within a manufacturing or engineering firm
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field
• Direct experience or strong technical understanding of the pharmaceutical, biotech, food, or beverage industries
• Proven ability to coordinate with multiple internal departments (Purchasing, Production, Engineering) to gather accurate cost data
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills required to manage pricing databases and proposal deviations
• A solid work history with a demonstrated commitment to quality and accuracy
• A US citizen or possess a green card, with a residence within a 30-mile commute of Jefferson, WI
