Position Summary:
The Sales Operations Analyst is responsible for optimizing the success of an organization’s sales team by managing sales goals, projections, and processes. Their duties include validating and implementing sales processes, overseeing the sales operations lifecycle, and planning and strategizing regional sales goals. Individuals within this position should be capable of handling a wide range of tasks pertaining to the organization’s sales operations and ensure that the sales processes and teams are operating optimally.
Essential Functions:
- Consistently ensure that business is always conducted with integrity and that behavior aligns with Sterling’s values.
- Build positive rapport with assigned Account Managers; provide outstanding information and explanations about Account Managers opportunities, activities, and quotes.
- Assist Account Managers with creating and maintaining opportunities with impeccable data accuracy throughout the life of opportunity, including closing procedures and parent / child management.
- Stay informed of Account Manager’s strategic opportunities from opportunity through execution. Assist in troubleshooting issues as necessary.
- Regularly scheduled 1:1 meeting with Account Managers to ensure data accuracy of all opportunities, including matting detail, and to review and update the demand planning status of current opportunities through realistic Get percentages.
- Work with Account Managers to prep for monthly focused asset owner and contractor meetings and drive correct data which will flow into the demand planning process.
- Create margin analysis documents that will be used to drive pre-bid discussion and firm up estimates to improve our win percentage.
- Schedule win plans, bid no-bid meetings, and bid-reviews based on set thresholds to maintain strong communication between sales and operations.
- Drive leads through the opportunity process to job creation. In this scenario, work with the PA, Logistics and other teams as required to ensure a consistently positive customer experience.
- Implementing sales processes for sales teams, specialists, and other representatives
- Ensuring an effective implementation of commercial operations action plan and initiatives across the Sales team
- Will be required to attend periodic sales meetings and training where applicable.
- Special projects as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, or finance, strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience is required, prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and intermediate experience with Excel.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

Full-time annual salary $60,000 - $75,000 dependent upon experience, and qualifications.
