Sterling is committed to developing our employees, providing best in class customer service and being responsible stewards of the environment.Position Summary:Responsible for tracking down and procuring data through various methods including bend testing, RFID scanning, visual inspection, and lab testing. This role involves entering, organizing, and validating test data in digital record systems while coordinating with field teams to build Sterling's comprehensive data set.Essential Functions: Travel to yards, jobsites, and labs (up to 70% travel requirement) to build the Sterling data setCoordinate with foremen, project managers, operators, and yard management to schedule and execute data collectionSelect and prioritize testing subjects and methods based on project requirementsConduct various testing methods on materials and Sterling matting fleet improvements, including: Bend testing and structural assessmentsQualitative and quantitative evaluationsCutting, coring, and sampling proceduresVisual inspection and documentationOperate heavy equipment (training provided): Skid steers, forklifts, and loadersRFID equipment including scanners and readersMaintain and operate technical systems: PCs and data management softwareHandheld scanners and fixed readersElectronic and mechanical hardwareHydraulics, generators, and related equipmentWork flexibly between Sterling Site Access in Phoenix, IL and Sterling's Office at MHub in Chicago, IL as projects requireReview data for discrepancies and ensure completenessSchedule and coordinate jobsite visits, equipment shipments, and maintain project timelinesConsistently demonstrate commitment and support for the Sterling vision, mission, policies and procedures. Performs work in compliance with work instructions and policies as outlined by management.
