Order Specialist

Location: Itasca, ILType: Direct HireCompensation: $26-28, negotiable based on experience Position Summary: The Order Specialist manages customer consumable orders from start to finish. This role supports customers, enters and reviews orders, and works closely with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess customer orders end-to-end, including order entry, contract review, and documentation in ERP/CRM systemsReview customer purchase orders for accuracy, pricing, and termsMaintain customer accounts and order dataCoordinate with Sales, Production, Shipping, Supply Chain, and AccountingMonitor open orders and provide status updatesHandle order changes, cancellations, returns, and creditsServe as the main contact for customer order questionsProvide administrative support to Sales and Accounting as needed27QualificationsStrong organization, time management, and attention to detailExcellent customer service and communication skillsExperience using ERP and CRM systems (manufacturing environment preferred)Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced settingEducation & ExperienceAssociate’s degree or equivalent manufacturing experience5 years of customer service experience (manufacturing preferred)Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointWork EnvironmentFast-paced manufacturing settingFrequent interaction with internal and external customersStanding, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs may be requiredPPE required in manufacturing areas (safety glasses, steel-toe shoes)Company DescriptionSterling has helped build careers for thousands for professionals like yourself.
