Order Entry Specialist The Order Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately processing customer orders, ensuring timely communication and coordination across departments. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity located near Vernon Hills, IL. Key Responsibilities Accurately input orders into the order entry system and verify details. Prepare order paperwork for production and ensure completeness. Communicate estimated ship dates and order status updates to customers. Answer incoming calls and emails, providing prompt and professional assistance. Track and trace deliveries; arrange shipment of replacement parts when needed. Maintain and update customer portals (e.g., Archway, CommerceHub). Initiate and manage claim processes with customers and manufacturers. Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Accounting, Logistics) to resolve issues. Perform light filing and general office tasks as required Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred. 4 year of order entry and/or customer service experience. Strong data entry skills with high accuracy. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Detail-oriented and highly organized; strong problem-solving skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with moderate supervision.
