Job Title: Electrical Engineering Technician
Location: Henrico, VA
Shift: 1st Shift – Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Pay: $25-$28/hour
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to support engineering services activities, including hardware and software design and development within a manufacturing operations environment. This position will play a key role in testing, troubleshooting, and improving equipment, systems, and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex engineering tests, checkouts, and development engineering tasks.
- Analyze engineering test results and implement changes to resolve issues.
- Collect data, analyze results, and assist with process or design improvements.
- Review project instructions, drawings, and specifications to determine test requirements, objectives, and methods.
- Fabricate and assemble new or modified mechanical and electrical components or assemblies for products such as industrial machinery, power systems, and measurement equipment.
- Set up and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to support design verification, quality control, and problem resolution.
- Analyze test data and modify or adjust equipment to meet specifications.
- Maintain accurate documentation of test procedures, results, and recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain software, documentation, and equipment to current revision or operational specifications.
- Support engineers in developing hardware and software required to test customer products.
- Train technicians and operators on products, processes, and equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma and associate degree, military training, vocational program, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Advanced technical skills with the ability to lead, train, and mentor others.
- Broad knowledge of functional techniques and manufacturing processes, with the ability to contribute to process improvements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to prepare technical reports and documentation.
- Proficient in mathematical and analytical problem-solving, including statistics, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
