We’re hiring a Mechanical Drafter in Carbondale, PA, for a direct hire opportunity with a growing industrial manufacturer. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, providing a balance of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a key role in supporting manufacturing by creating detailed fabrication drawings and working closely with engineering, production, and customer teams.
- Create fabrication and shop drawings for industrial manufacturing projects
- Develop perforation patterns, tooling layouts, and material selections
- Interpret customer prints and ensure specs and tolerances are met
- Generate CAD files (PDF, DXF) for production and programming
- Support R&D and new product development efforts
- Maintain drawing history, tooling data, and engineering documentation
- Collaborate across teams to support production and customer satisfaction
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of drafting/design experience (AutoCAD or similar)
- 3 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Experience with sheet metal, tooling, and manufacturing processes
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working both independently and with cross-functional teams
Compensation & Benefits
- 💰 $50K–$55K base salary
