Overview

We’re partnering with a leading automation systems integrator to bring on a Mechanical Engineer for a short-term, 1-month contract assignment. This role will focus on supporting existing machine designs, making updates and modifications within SolidWorks for high-speed automated equipment.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys jumping into active projects and making an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Modify and update existing mechanical designs using SolidWorks
• Support ongoing automation projects by implementing design changes and improvements
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure design accuracy and functionality
• Review drawings, assemblies, and BOMs for accuracy
• Assist with troubleshooting design-related issues on automated equipment
  
  

Qualifications

• 3 years of mechanical engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (assemblies, drawings, revisions)
• Prior experience working with custom automation or special machinery
• Ability to quickly understand and work within existing designs
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  
  

Preferred

• Experience in assembly automation, robotics, or high-speed manufacturing equipment
• Exposure to design for manufacturability (DFM)
