We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations in a newly expanded manufacturing environment focused on Power Distribution Units (PDUs), DataBar systems, and cable assemblies. This is a hands-on manufacturing floor role centered on process development, production support, and continuous improvement — not a product design position. Ideal candidates will have strong manufacturing experience, technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Job Duties:
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products
- Create and maintain assembly instructions, process documentation, and work procedures
- Analyze workflow, labor utilization, and equipment layout to maximize efficiency
- Support new product introductions by identifying opportunities for process optimization
- Serve as the first point of escalation for manufacturing and assembly-related issues on the production floor
- Troubleshoot assembly problems and implement corrective actions alongside production teams
- Collaborate with Materials, Quality, Test Engineering, and Production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges
- Monitor product quality and manufacturing performance to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
- Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and operational costs for management planning
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization and workflow enhancements
- Train and support production personnel on manufacturing processes and best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred
- Associate degree with 2 years of relevant manufacturing experience
- 5 years of hands-on manufacturing or engineering support experience without a degree
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Basic familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.) for viewing and interpreting drawings
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a production environment
- Experience with process improvements, workflow optimization, and lean manufacturing
