Job Duties:
- Lead and manage data collection and preparation, performing detailed engineering calculations and writing formal technical reports for complex projects.
- Continuously analyze and evaluate technical bids to recommend best-value designs that meet client requirements for operability, reliability, and safety.
- Organize and balance project workloads by serving as a Project Lead, estimating work hours, developing scopes of work, and checking deliverables prior to issuance.
- Identify and resolve unique engineering problems through design, analysis, and on-site field leadership work, including checking installations.
- Develop technical specifications and data sheets for process equipment such as vessels, pumps, exchangers, and compressors.
- Motivate, train, and mentor less experienced engineers, designers, and drafters, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional growth.
- Ensure the consistent development of Process Flow Drawings (PFD) and P&IDs that meet rigorous industry standards and ASME/API codes.
- Collaborate with other departments and suppliers to obtain pertinent information and coordinate multidisciplinary project needs.
- Drive and implement steady-state and hydraulic modeling (HYSYS, AspenPlus, AFT Fathom) to elevate the performance of process systems.
- Perform calculation checking and vendor drawing reviews to ensure project accuracy and efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Chemical Engineering is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-15 years of experience performing basic engineering analysis and design functions within industrial environments.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred or a clear track toward obtaining licensure.
- Strong understanding of API 520/521 and ASME codes, as well as pressure relief analysis and flare system design.
- Demonstrated proficiency in process steady-state modeling (HYSYS, AspenPlus) and hydraulic modeling tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven ability to lead complex projects from concept through completion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with clients, suppliers, and internal senior management.
Salary : $90,000 - $150,000
