Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for children in a nursery or daycare environment, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and facilitate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, to respond effectively to emergencies
- Support children with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine care needs
- Adhere to mandated reporting laws by documenting any concerns related to child welfare or behavior management issues
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or early childhood education programs
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is highly preferred but will need to be completed shortly after hired.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to follow safety regulations and maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws
- Demonstrated patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for working with young children during their critical developmental stages
- Pass and Iowa and Federal Background checks.

Pay: $13.00 - $13.25 per hour
