Landscape Designer-Installer / Retail Sales Associate
Come grow with us at Earl May Garden Center! We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Full-Time Landscape Designer-Installer / Retail Sales Associate to join our team.
If you enjoy working outdoors, creating beautiful spaces, working with customers, and seeing a project come together from start to finish, this could be the opportunity for you! You’ll have the chance to put your skills to work, learn new ones, and help bring our customers’ landscaping ideas to life. For motivated individuals, this position offers opportunities to grow and advance within our landscaping team. This team proudly serves the Des Moines area, including Waukee, Grimes, West Des Moines, South Des Moines, and Ankeny.
Position Requirements
- Motivated self-starter with a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working 8 hours outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Comfortable operating equipment, including chainsaws and truck/trailer combinations
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Availability to work Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–5 years of landscape installation experience
- General knowledge of landscaping and/or construction
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Willingness to learn, develop new skills, and grow within the role
Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday
Flexible hours between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM, with occasional Saturdays as needed.
