Heavy-Duty Wrecker Operator - Class A CDL - Experience Required - NIGHT SHIFT - Tampa

Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transport is seeking experienced Heavy Duty Tow Truck Operators to join our team! We’re looking for candidates with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and effective problem-solving abilities.

All drivers must have their own set of tools once assigned.

Essential Functions

• Operate Heavy Tow Trucks, Rollbacks, and Service Trucks efficiently and safely
• Respond to Florida Traffic Incident Management Program calls (RISC)
• Work safely at accident scenes, often in traffic and all-weather conditions
• Cooperate closely with law enforcement and other first responders
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers
• Operate GPS mapping devices
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, bending, reaching, climbing
• Significant physical strength and stamina

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Class A CDL with at least 2 years of verifiable experience
• Current DOT Medical Card
• Proven heavy-duty towing experience required
• Registered in the DOT Clearinghouse
• Clean driving record
• Able to pass background check and drug test

• Full-time

Commissioned Pay

• Graduated commission pay scale starting at 25% - Our drivers average $1,800 - $2,000 weekly.
  • Night shift GUARANTEE $1800/week- This pay structure should not be misconstrued as a salary-paid position. 

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts - Monday to Friday
  
  • On-Call 1 weekend of the month
