Position Summary
The High School Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction aligned to state standards, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting the academic growth of all students. The teacher will plan engaging lessons, assess student progress, and collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver standards-based mathematics instruction for high school students
Develop and implement lesson plans that meet diverse learning needs
Use formative and summative assessments to monitor and support student progress
Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes student engagement
Integrate instructional technology and data-driven practices into lessons
Collaborate with PLCs, administrators, and support staff
Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues
Participate in professional learning and ongoing curriculum development
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Education
Valid state teaching certification in Secondary Mathematics
Preferred:
Experience teaching high school mathematics (Algebra I–IV, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, or Statistics)
Strong classroom management and instructional design skills
Experience using educational technology and learning management systems
