- Manage and administer enterprise-grade firewalls, including rule creation, policy management, and security hardening
- Configure, troubleshoot, and provide ongoing support for routers, switches, and network infrastructure (including rack & stack, hardware deployment, and Cisco IOS upgrades)
- Perform network vulnerability assessments, security scanning, and remediation activities
- Monitor network activity, analyze logs, and maintain Syslog/log management systems
- Oversee network backup, recovery, and patch management processes
- Support multiple remote sites and datacenters, including up to 25% travel for onsite infrastructure projects
- Create and update network diagrams and documentation using Microsoft Visio
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to provide timely network support
- Ensure adherence to NERC CIP standards and maintain compliance documentation
- Collaborate with local teams to maintain secure and reliable network operations in the Liverpool, NY area
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on network engineering and network security experience required
- Strong knowledge of firewalls, routers, switches, TCP/IP, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, and load balancing
- Experience with network monitoring, security tools, and hardware installation
- Familiarity with Microsoft Visio for network documentation
- NERC CIP regulatory compliance experience is a must
