Our client is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Microbiologist to support advanced microbiology and molecular diagnostics initiatives. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in microbiology, molecular biology, laboratory testing, PCR, sequencing, and scientific data analysis.
Location: Indianapolis, IN (Onsite)
Duration: 06 Months Contract

Key Responsibilities
Perform microbiological examinations and laboratory analyses on clinical and environmental specimens
Conduct culture identification, biochemical testing, PCR, sequencing, and whole genome sequencing (WGS)
Extract and process nucleic acids using manual and automated laboratory methods
Analyze, interpret, validate, and document laboratory findings
Maintain laboratory records, quality control documentation, and testing procedures
Ensure adherence to laboratory safety, quality assurance, and quality control standards
Manage laboratory inventory and supplies to support ongoing testing operations
Assist in preparing technical, scientific, and statistical reports
Maintain competency across laboratory procedures and testing methodologies
Required Qualifications
Strong knowledge of microbiology and molecular biology principles
Experience with PCR, sequencing, MALDI-TOF, WGS, and related molecular techniques
Experience operating laboratory instruments and scientific equipment
Knowledge of laboratory quality assurance and quality control processes
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field
2 years of laboratory experience in microbiology or molecular diagnostics
Experience with high-complexity laboratory testing environments
Experience preparing laboratory reports and technical documentation
