- 6-9 years of experience as a Data Engineer with strong skills in SQL (T-SQL preferred) and Python scripting.
- Responsible for supporting development and migration of data pipelines from legacy data warehouse systems to Azure Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse.
- Write, optimize, and validate SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation across multiple databases (SQL Server, Azure SQL MI, Synapse).
- Develop and debug Python scripts for automation, file ingestion, and data quality checks.
- Assist in building Azure Fabric dataflows, pipelines, and lakehouse tables in line with enterprise data-modeling standards.
- Collaborate with senior engineers in ETL design, optimization, and performance tuning.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with data-load processes, documenting and updating test cases in Zephyr and JIRA.
- Maintain technical documentation using Confluence and Git/Azure DevOps.
- Engage in continuous learning of emerging Azure technologies (Databricks, Fabric, Power BI) and contribute to process improvement.
- Apply data warehousing concepts, including ETL, staging, and fact/dimension modeling.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, curiosity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn enterprise-scale data systems.
- Work within Agile/Scrum environments and employ best practices in data modeling, metadata management, and data quality.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required.
- Local candidates only (MA or NH) due to hybrid onsite requirements (2 days/week in Wilmington, MA). No relocation.
Salary : $50 - $55
