Job Summary: Cloudflare Akamai WAF Consultant (Onsite)
- Serve as an onsite Web Application Firewall (WAF) subject matter expert for Cloudflare and Akamai platforms.
- Configure, manage, and optimize WAF policies, rulesets, firewall rules, and bot management on Cloudflare (including DNS, DDoS protection, and logpush).
- Administer Akamai WAF including KSD/Property Manager, Bot Manager, Edge DNS, and log staging/testing.
- Apply deep knowledge of OWASP Top 10, application security principles, and secure development practices to protect web applications.
- Utilize and integrate application security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) such as Checkmarx, BurpSuite, Fortify, etc.
- Analyze HTTP traffic, headers, payloads, and investigate attack vectors (e.g., XSS, SQLi, RCE, deserialization, CSRF, SSRF).
- Work with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, SaaS) and modern application architectures.
- Integrate security telemetry from WAFs, scanners, SIEM/SOAR, and cloud logs to develop dashboards and monitor security metrics.
- Collaborate with security and development teams to ensure robust application protection.
- Position is onsite at 2 Broadway, NY, NY (local candidates preferred).
