About The Host Partner
At the Michigan Green Building Collaborative, our mission is to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built, and operated in a way that improves the quality of life in Michigan. We believe in the power of partnership to create lasting impact. For over 20 years, our organization has fostered collaboration between stakeholders, shared resources, hosted conferences, and established cornerstone initiatives that cultivate a sustainable future. In 2024, we transitioned to the Michigan Green Building Collaborative (MiGBC) from the U.S. Green Building Council of West Michigan to expand our focus to be state-wide while maintaining our role as thought partner and resource. Our programs include the Michigan Battle of the Buildings, the Grand Rapids 2030 District, the Lansing 2030 District, the Grand Rapids Energy Assistance Program, and the EHZero project. In addition to running these programs, we strive to be a hub to facilitate easy access to case studies, tools, and resources related to sustainability and energy efficiency.
MHC Fellow Role And Responsibilities
MHC Fellows can expect to report to serve in a remote capacity. Interested MHC Fellow should live within the community and/or have the ability to commute to community events. There are some in-office days the MHC Fellow can attend when staff meet but no set in-person schedule.
