MI Healthy Climate Fellows

About The Host Partner
UP Land Conservancy (UPLC) is a local 501c3 non-profit land trust accredited through the Land Trust Alliance Commission. Our mission is to Protect Land Today, for Life Tomorrow across the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. UPLC promotes healthy ecosystems and communities by providing permanent legal protection and ecological management of conservation lands and by engaging the public in the protection and enjoyment of these lands. We practice a three pronged approach to conservation - connecting lands with each other, connecting people to the land, and connecting people with each other on the land. We have protected over 6,000 acres in the Upper Peninsula since our origin in 1999, and we would like to continue to increase the amount of land protected in future years through land acquisition, trades and conservation easements. UPLC values a systems based approach to create transformational impact with the communities we serve.
MHC Fellow Role And Responsibilities
MHC Fellows can expect to report to service both In-person and remote; On average 80% in office and 20% remote. More details can be provided upon selection for an interview.
